|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 1.685e+09 | 18.71 | -4.30% | -32.48% | — | — | — | 37 | 8.835e+06 | 1.59e+08 | 69.45% | 10 | AH Bio Fund IV, L.P. — 10% Owner; Anderson Michele A. — Chief Development Officer; Chimovits Erez — Insider … | 2026-08-07 | The conviction signal here is unusually broad rather than a single founder top-up: a syndicate of crossover funds and OrbiMed alongside the CEO and CFO all added shares. Typically reflects an unlock/registration-clearing window after IPO. Watch whether the open-market lane keeps absorbing stock or whether the float simply re-prices as the lockup fully rolls off — insider buying is a strong tell but a small float magnifies both directions. |
| SCTX | Scribe Therapeutics Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 3.801e+08 | 20.08 | -3.09% | -37.52% | — | — | — | 43 | 4.73e+06 | 7.134e+07 | 68.66% | 6 | AH Bio Fund II, L.P. — 10% Owner; Aghazadeh Behzad — Insider; GORDON CARL L — Insider … | 2026-07-28 | Multiple leading healthcare specialists bought in tandem with management — the classic post-IPO pattern where insiders buy the first open-market window. With a float that is only a fraction of total shares, secondary supply risk is the main offset to the bullish read. |
| MPLT | MapLight Therapeutics, Inc. | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 4.279e+08 | 7.7 | -3.99% | -31.98% | -74.38% | -65.08% | — | 63 | 5.625e+06 | 6.554e+07 | 35.04% | 2 | Catalyst4, Inc. — 10% Owner; Cox Troy — Director | 2026-08-14 | A single strategic shareholder plus a director carried the buying; the position dwarfs the prior holding, so this reads as sponsor-level conviction in the CNS program rather than routine open-market accumulation. Stock has been repriced sharply lower, which raises the question of whether the buyer is averaging down into a data point or front-running it. |
| ETRA | Electra Therapeutics, Inc. - Common stock | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 5.492e+08 | 8.75 | 0.00% | — | — | — | — | — | 2.667e+06 | 4e+07 | 9.16% | 2 | GORDON CARL L — Insider; ORBIMED ADVISORS LLC — Insider | 2026-09-21 | Buying was concentrated in two institutional buyers of the same size, which points to a negotiated or participation-style investment rather than discretionary accumulation. That is supportive of the balance sheet but a weaker sentiment signal than management money. |
| KOD | Kodiak Sciences Inc | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 5.389e+09 | 85.75 | -2.69% | 161.04% | 90.98% | 98.14% | — | 63 | 1.942e+06 | 1.57e+08 | 5.27% | 1 | BAKER BROS. ADVISORS LP — Director | 2026-09-29 | Baker Bros.' director-level purchase is the largest single dollar commitment on the screen and comes after a violent re-rating higher. That combination — a specialist fund adding into strength rather than defense — is the strongest endorsement in this list; the key risk is that the move is already well recognized by the tape. |
| APMD | Apnimed, Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 7.394e+08 | 17.76 | -2.68% | -36.82% | — | — | — | 37 | 3.25e+05 | 5.2e+06 | 1.59% | 2 | Morningside Venture Investments Ltd — 10% Owner; SEKHRI PAUL J — Director | 2026-08-03 | Both a venture holder and an independent director bought, giving a mix of strategic and fiduciary money. The sleep-apnea asset sits in a category that has drawn outsized interest since GLP-1 adjacencies re-rated; any incremental pipeline news is likely to be the next re-rating trigger. |
| LTGO | Latigo Biotherapeutics, Inc. Common Stock | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 9.282e+08 | 14 | -5.15% | -41.50% | — | — | — | 42 | 2.8e+05 | 5.04e+06 | 1.29% | 2 | Foresite Capital Management V, LLC — Insider; Tananbaum James B. — Director | 2026-08-10 | Buying came from a crossover fund and a director. Notably the stock has been hit hard, so this is averaging-down money from people closest to the immunology pipeline — a higher-conviction bet than a pre-listing allocation, but also one that can be tested again by the next clinical readout. |
| IMTX | Immatics N.V. | Oncology Therapeutics | 1.024e+09 | 6.73 | -5.74% | -23.70% | -39.75% | -30.31% | — | 59 | 8.631e+05 | 7.5e+06 | 1.23% | 1 | PERCEPTIVE ADVISORS LLC — Director | 2026-08-26 | Perceptive's director-level purchase is a specialist healthcare fund vote on the TCR-T platform. German-domiciled ordinary shares add ADR/liquidity nuance, and the stock's de-rating suggests the market is discounting pipeline timing rather than the science. |
| ALMS | Alumis Inc. | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 7.921e+08 | 6.12 | -3.01% | -21.74% | -74.67% | -70.71% | — | 63 | 9.867e+05 | 1.073e+07 | 1.08% | 1 | AKKARAJU SRINIVAS — Director | 2026-09-08 | A large single director purchase from an established biotech investor is meaningful at this market cap, and it lands while the shares sit well below trend — a classic contrarian call on the TYK2 franchise. Position sizing relative to the float makes this one of the more consequential trades here. |
| INBX | Inhibrx Biosciences, Inc. | Oncology Therapeutics | 1.322e+09 | 89.83 | -0.74% | -14.23% | 7.98% | -6.68% | — | 63 | 6.254e+04 | 6.347e+06 | 0.73% | 3 | FORSYTH DOUGLAS — Insider; Kayyem Jon Faiz — Insider; Lappe Mark — Chief Executive Officer | 2026-10-14 | Three separate insiders including the CEO bought the same month, and this is one of the most recent trades on the list — insider buying after a period of strong relative performance is a rarer and more informative signal than post-drawdown buying. Tight float amplifies the effect. |
| RLMD | Relmada Therapeutics, Inc. | Oncology Therapeutics | 3.307e+08 | 3.1 | -3.13% | -26.19% | -58.56% | -46.15% | — | 70 | 4e+05 | 1.672e+06 | 0.48% | 2 | Shenouda Maged — Chief Financial Officer; TRAVERSA SERGIO — Chief Executive Officer | 2026-09-10 | Both the CEO and CFO put money in simultaneously, which is the strongest internal-consensus configuration. Small-float, deeply de-rated names like this are particularly sensitive to any financing or clinical news, so the management buying is doing real work in the sentiment picture. |
| PBLS | Parabilis Medicines, Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 2.81e+09 | 22.75 | -9.65% | -44.35% | — | — | — | 64 | 2.446e+05 | 6.92e+06 | 0.30% | 1 | RA CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, L.P. — Director | 2026-07-22 | RA Capital's director purchase is a single sophisticated healthcare investor, not a management cluster. Still, a large-capitalization fund buying into a freshly listed discovery-stage platform after a harsh markdown suggests it sees the pipeline value as disconnected from the public price. |
| KURA | Kura Oncology, Inc. | Oncology Therapeutics | 8.078e+08 | 9.08 | -6.39% | -22.53% | -0.66% | -10.34% | — | 64 | 2e+05 | 2.351e+06 | 0.28% | 1 | WILSON TROY EDWARD — President and CEO | 2026-08-24 | The CEO bought personally into an oncology name that has been sold off hard. Single-insider, smaller-dollar trades like this carry less weight than clusters, but they are a useful signal when they come from the operator rather than an outsider. |
| EIKN | Eikon Therapeutics, Inc. | Oncology Therapeutics | 4.019e+08 | 7.42 | -1.59% | -13.72% | -37.65% | -25.76% | — | 63 | 8.92e+04 | 1.031e+06 | 0.26% | 1 | Column Group IV GP, LP — 10% Owner | 2026-09-03 | A lead venture holder bought a modest amount — a token of support rather than a major commitment. The absolute conviction is limited; treat as a mild positive only. |
| RGNX | REGENXBIO Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 4.571e+08 | 6.925 | -3.28% | -15.70% | -27.03% | -23.21% | — | 71 | 1.026e+05 | 9.494e+05 | 0.18% | 1 | Ciongoli Gregory Austin — Director | 2026-08-27 | A director purchase at a de-rated gene-therapy developer. Buying here is a bet on the AAV/ophthalmology pipeline clearing regulatory and manufacturing hurdles rather than on near-term fundamentals. |
| ABCL | AbCellera Biologics Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 3.824e+09 | 11.8 | -6.94% | -7.31% | 194.26% | 60.13% | — | 71 | 1.472e+05 | 1.546e+06 | 0.07% | 3 | Booth Andrew — Chief Financial Officer; Hayden Michael R — Insider; Montalbano John S. — Insider | 2026-08-24 | The CFO plus two additional insiders bought in the same window. AbCellera's antibody-discovery model and its outsized balance sheet make this less of a survival bet and more a management view that the equity is undervalued relative to its cash and partner book. |
| XENE | Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 3.243e+09 | 33.49 | -2.45% | -41.60% | -43.90% | -39.75% | — | 70 | 4.5e+04 | 1.681e+06 | 0.05% | 2 | Kelly Thomas Patrick — Chief Financial Officer; MORTIMER IAN — PRESIDENT & CEO | 2026-09-30 | The CEO and CFO both bought, but the amounts are small relative to company size — a signal of alignment rather than a high-conviction call. The stock's deep drawdown argues the market is focused on epilepsy program timing. |
| DMRA | Damora Therapeutics, Inc. | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 1.138e+09 | 18.44 | -1.60% | -19.05% | -30.68% | -27.75% | — | 66 | 1.25e+04 | 2.529e+05 | 0.03% | 1 | Jarrett Jennifer — Director, President and CEO | 2026-09-25 | The CEO/director bought a modest position in a recently public neurology name. Routine-alignment territory; watch for follow-through from larger holders before reading much into it. |
| ANNX | Annexon, Inc. | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 6.465e+08 | 3.41 | -5.28% | -18.23% | -47.86% | -34.01% | — | 65 | 2.606e+04 | 9.983e+04 | 0.02% | 1 | Love Douglas — PRESIDENT AND CEO | 2026-09-24 | A CEO purchase of a small number of shares in a complement-driven neuro name. Sentiment-supportive but low information content at this dollar size; the program's clinical catalysts matter far more. |
| NAMS | NewAmsterdam Pharma Company N.V. | Autoimmune & Immunology Therapies | 2.318e+09 | 19.83 | -3.83% | -9.58% | -42.82% | -32.92% | — | 72 | 1e+04 | 2.265e+05 | 0.01% | 1 | Davidson Michael H. — Chief Executive Officer | 2026-09-14 | The CEO bought a token number of shares around a period of heavy de-rating in the cholesterol/obesity-adjacent space. Mechanically positive, but this is more signaling than capital commitment. |
| IONS | Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 7.136e+09 | 42.94 | -2.67% | -8.15% | -43.28% | -33.54% | — | 79 | 2e+04 | 1.059e+06 | 0.01% | 1 | Hayden Michael R — Insider | 2026-07-31 | An insider purchased a modest position in a well-capitalized RNA franchise. Low float-percentage impact, but consistent with the general pattern of RNA-platform insiders using drawdowns to add. |
| ASND | Ascendis Pharma A/S | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 1.482e+10 | 225.25 | -0.60% | -5.77% | -7.87% | -6.37% | — | 64 | 2,000 | 4.927e+05 | 0.00% | 1 | BIENAIME JEAN JACQUES — Director | 2026-08-14 | A director purchase at a large-cap rare-disease name — the smallest percentage-of-float figure that still clears the screen. Best read as standard board alignment rather than a differentiated signal. |
| TYRA | Tyra Biosciences, Inc. | Oncology Therapeutics | 1.273e+09 | 18.52 | -2.73% | -24.19% | -47.49% | -38.37% | — | 72 | 971.8943 | 2e+04 | 0.00% | 1 | Verjee Rehan — Director | 2026-09-09 | A director bought a small amount. Too small to move the insider-conviction needle; the FGFR program's readouts will drive the stock. |
| PGEN | Precigen, Inc. | Biopharma Drug Discovery Platforms | 2.286e+09 | 6.385 | -11.32% | -18.87% | 60.43% | 16.81% | — | 72 | 3,411 | 2.466e+04 | 0.00% | 1 | AGEE NANCY H — Insider | 2026-08-21 | Small insider purchase in a name that already carries a strong relative performance. Positioning is more about the gene-therapy pipeline narrative than this trade. |
| DYN | Dyne Therapeutics, Inc. | Neurology & Rare Diseases | 2.661e+09 | 14.25 | -6.80% | -21.10% | -30.18% | -29.36% | — | 78 | 2,500 | 4e+04 | 0.00% | 1 | Posner Brian S — Director | 2026-10-02 | A director purchase of a modest position — minimal dollar weight. It keeps Dyne in the net-buyer column but does not constitute meaningful conviction. |
Largest Biotech Insider Buys by Dollar Value (last 90 days, through October 16, 2026)
| Symbol | Company | Insider | Title / Role | Shares Bought | Value ($) | Comments |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| KOD | Kodiak Sciences Inc | Baker Bros. Advisors Lp | Director | 1.942e+06 | 1.57e+08 | The single largest dollar commitment on the screen, made by a specialist life-sciences fund at the director level — and it was executed into a powerful move rather than a dip. That is the highest-quality form of insider signal because it is not averaging down, though it also means the market has already begun pricing in the same thesis. |
| MPLT | MapLight Therapeutics, Inc. | Catalyst4, Inc. | 10% Owner | 5.609e+06 | 6.539e+07 | A strategic holder bought over five and a half million shares in one stroke — a sponsorship-scale commitment, not discretionary accumulation. This is closer to a financing or ownership consolidation than a sentiment trade. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Forbion Growth Opportunities Fund III Cooperatief U.A. | 10% Owner | 3.6e+06 | 6.48e+07 | Crossover fund buying alongside OrbiMed and the CEO/CFO. Broad-based insider participation in the first open window after listing is the pattern to watch, because it typically precedes the float expanding. |
| SCTX | Scribe Therapeutics Inc. | Aghazadeh Behzad | — | 2.391e+06 | 3.626e+07 | A large individual purchase in a discovery-stage gene-editing platform. Founder or early-investor accumulation at this scale signals personal balance-sheet conviction, but the float is thin enough that technical moves will be exaggerated. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Chimovits Erez | — | 1.94e+06 | 3.492e+07 | Individual crossover investor buying in partnership with a named fund and the CEO — different pools of money arriving at the same conclusion, which is more convincing than any one of them alone. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Orbimed Advisors Llc | — | 1.94e+06 | 3.492e+07 | OrbiMed's position here matches the size of the individual buyer's, suggesting a coordinated block rather than independent discretionary purchases. |
| ETRA | Electra Therapeutics, Inc. - Common stock | Gordon Carl L | — | 1.333e+06 | 2e+07 | A veteran biotech investor funded a participatory allocation in an autoimmune/oncology name — balance-sheet support with an implicit vote on the SIRPα program. |
| ETRA | Electra Therapeutics, Inc. - Common stock | Orbimed Advisors Llc | — | 1.333e+06 | 2e+07 | Second OrbiMed tranche in the same name, alongside the same individual buyer; the paired structure points to a single negotiated transaction. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | AH Bio Fund IV, L.P. | 10% Owner | 1.1e+06 | 1.98e+07 | A dedicated bio fund participated alongside the crossover syndicate. Multiple specialist funds converging on the same early-stage asset is a strong endorsement of the science, even if it is not open-market conviction. |
| SCTX | Scribe Therapeutics Inc. | Gordon Carl L | — | 1e+06 | 1.5e+07 | Second large purchase by the same veteran biotech investor in the same window, reinforcing the paired-transaction read. |
| SCTX | Scribe Therapeutics Inc. | Orbimed Advisors Llc | — | 1e+06 | 1.5e+07 | OrbiMed's matching tranche in the gene-editing name; consistent with a structured investment rather than a market purchase. |
| ALMS | Alumis Inc. | Akkaraju Srinivas | Director | 9.867e+05 | 1.073e+07 | A large director purchase by an established biotech investor at a sharply discounted price — the most contrarian dollar commitment here, and the one with the most upside if the TYK2 program delivers. |
| IMTX | Immatics N.V. | Perceptive Advisors Llc | Director | 8.631e+05 | 7.5e+06 | Perceptive's director-level purchase in a German TCR-T developer; specialist money at a de-rated price. |
| PBLS | Parabilis Medicines, Inc. | Ra Capital Management, L.P. | Director | 2.446e+05 | 6.92e+06 | RA Capital bought at the director level in a discovery platform. Large-fund, pre-revenue conviction plays tend to be judged on pipeline milestones rather than quarters, so the payoff horizon is long. |
| APMD | Apnimed, Inc. | Morningside Venture Investments Ltd | 10% Owner | 3.125e+05 | 5e+06 | A strategic venture holder bought a meaningful block in the sleep-apnea developer — supporting the story that the asset attracts strategic rather than purely financial capital. |
| SCTX | Scribe Therapeutics Inc. | AH Bio Fund II, L.P. | 10% Owner | 3.333e+05 | 5e+06 | A second bio fund participated in the same window as the crossover syndicate, reinforcing the coordinated-investment read. |
| INBX | Inhibrx Biosciences, Inc. | Lappe Mark | Chief Executive Officer | 4.504e+04 | 4.493e+06 | The CEO buying with personal money is the most informative line in this table — operators rarely make multi-million dollar open-market purchases without a specific near-term reason. The trade is very recent. |
| LTGO | Latigo Biotherapeutics, Inc. Common Stock | Foresite Capital Management V, LLC | — | 1.4e+05 | 2.52e+06 | Foresite's purchase in an immunology name that has been aggressively de-rated; a crossover fund averaging into its own thesis. |
| LTGO | Latigo Biotherapeutics, Inc. Common Stock | Tananbaum James B. | Director | 1.4e+05 | 2.52e+06 | The same dollar amount as the Foresite tranche, suggesting a paired investment with the fund. |
| KURA | Kura Oncology, Inc. | Wilson Troy Edward | President and CEO | 2e+05 | 2.351e+06 | The CEO bought into an oncology name well below trend — leadership alignment at a moment when the company's franchise is under market pressure. |
| INBX | Inhibrx Biosciences, Inc. | Kayyem Jon Faiz | — | 1.5e+04 | 1.568e+06 | A smaller individual purchase alongside the CEO's, keeping the insider cluster intact and raising the credibility of the group's view. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Viehbacher Christopher | — | 8.333e+04 | 1.5e+06 | A former large-pharma CEO buying into an early-stage discovery platform is a notable endorsement of management quality, though the size is modest. |
| BRVE | Braveheart Bio, Inc. Common Stock | Murdoch Travis | CEO and President | 8.333e+04 | 1.5e+06 | The CEO bought alongside the crossover fund — a classic founder-and-sponsor alignment combination in a newly public company. |
| XENE | Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. | Mortimer Ian | PRESIDENT & CEO | 3e+04 | 1.121e+06 | The CEO bought into a deeply de-rated epilepsy name; alignment is present but the dollar size is small relative to the market cap. |
| IONS | Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. | Hayden Michael R | — | 2e+04 | 1.059e+06 | An insider purchase at a large RNA platform — a modest, routine-looking addition rather than a statement trade. |
| ABCL | AbCellera Biologics Inc. | Hayden Michael R | — | 1e+05 | 1.051e+06 | The same investor appearing in a second biotech name suggests a deliberate portfolio-level thesis across antibody discovery rather than a single-stock call. |
| EIKN | Eikon Therapeutics, Inc. | Column Group IV GP, LP | 10% Owner | 8.92e+04 | 1.031e+06 | A lead venture holder purchased in a discovery-stage oncology platform — consistent with the broader pattern of insiders buying the first open window rather than the dip. |
Takeaway
Where the insider money is actually going
Biotech is the one corner of the market where insider buying is a genuinely differentiated signal: operators and crossover funds have far better visibility into clinical timelines than the tape does, and they tend to buy in identifiable clusters (CEO and CFO, or several specialized funds in the same window) rather than anonymously.
Two distinct regimes show up in this screen.
- Newly public, small-float names — several of the top ranks have floats that are only a slice of total shares, and the insider buying lands in the first open-market window after listing. This is mechanically the most explosive kind of print (a small dollar amount moves the float percentage dramatically), but it is also the most ambiguous: it often reflects registration/lockup mechanics and strategic participation rather than a pure discretionary call on valuation. Read these as balance-sheet support and sponsor conviction, not as a timing signal.
- Specialist funds adding into strength — the largest single commitment on the screen was made by a dedicated life-sciences fund at the director level, executed after a sharp re-rating rather than into a drawdown. That is the rarer and higher-quality configuration, because the buyer is choosing to chase rather than to defend.
What the pattern is not signaling. Most of the buying here sits in names trading well below their 150-day averages, and the broad tape has been withdrawing the speculative bid — micro- and small-cap pre-profit names have borne the brunt. Insider buying in that environment is a contrarian statement, and a single insider purchase is not a catalyst. Treat conviction clusters (multiple insiders, operator money, recent dates) as far more meaningful than a lone director adding a token position.
Practical framing. Weight the screen in this order: (a) management money bought recently, (b) multiple unrelated insiders in the same window, (c) scale relative to the float, and only then (d) dollar size. Large dollar commitments by strategic holders can be excellent news for the balance sheet while being a weak read on near-term price.
