Upward channels
Query: Upward channels · data as of 2026-10-12
Built an "upward channel" screen with two tables: 45 US stocks ranked by channel position (led by ODD, SIG, DSGX, SONO, EOG) and 45 US-listed ETFs ranked by 1Y performance (led by DXJ, CPAI, GVAL, IBB, CPER), using precomputed rising-channel flags, with channel position, returns, distance from the 150-day SMA, momentum scores and enrichment commentary plus an overview narrative.
45 US stocks and 45 US-listed ETFs are riding a rising (upward) price channel as of October 12, 2026. Stocks are ranked by where price sits inside the channel band — the higher the reading, the closer the name is to the upper channel line and the more extended/strong the channel quality. ETFs are ranked by 1-year performance. All data is end-of-day; leveraged and inverse products are excluded.

| Symbol | Security Name | Sector | Industry | Theme | Market Cap | 1M Return | 3M Return | 6M Return | 1Y Return | % from 150D SMA | Relative Volume | Momentum Potential | Days Since Earnings | Technical Patterns | Channel Position (%) | Comments |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ODD | ODDITY Tech Ltd. | Consumer Staples | Household & Personal Products | Apparel & Footwear | 9.954e+08 | 18.05% | 31.99% | 51.01% | -58.20% | 46.39% | 0.7318 | 70.3 | 33 | Upward channel (100%), Uptrend | 100.00% | Smallest-cap name in the list and a former high-flyer still deeply under water over a year. Recent recovery is a re-rating of a high-margin optical/eyewear platform; the risk is a consumer that has already shown it will trade down, plus a thin float that amplifies both directions. |
| SIG | Signet Jewelers Limited | Consumer Discretionary | Luxury Goods | Apparel & Footwear | 4.062e+09 | 5.73% | 24.75% | 14.97% | 10.79% | 18.95% | 0.7728 | 84.1 | 33 | Upward channel (94%), Uptrend | 94.40% | Jewelry retail riding a resilient high-end bridal and gifting cycle. Channel quality is unusually steady for a discretionary retailer and buybacks underpin the per-share math; the swing factor is whether lab-grown diamond margin mix holds. |
| DSGX | The Descartes Systems Group Inc | Information Technology | Software - Application | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 5.77e+09 | 10.03% | 16.48% | 24.29% | -11.64% | 13.11% | 0.4227 | 91.8 | 31 | Upward channel (85%), Uptrend, Break-above | 85.40% | Supply-chain/logistics software with a sticky subscription base and pricing power — the classic compounder profile inside the channel. The sharp 1MW pullback from highs vs. a mid-teens 3M gain suggests consolidation rather than breakdown; a breakout flag means follow-through is already showing. |
| SONO | Sonos, Inc. | Information Technology | Consumer Electronics | Smartphones & Consumer Electronics | 2.051e+09 | 14.68% | 13.93% | 30.28% | -2.20% | 15.39% | 0.8529 | 23.5 | 74 | Upward channel (75%), Uptrend | 74.60% | Household-name audio with a newly launched product cycle and improving cost structure. Not a cheap multiple for a hardware name, so the channel lives or dies on unit sell-through through the holiday season. |
| EOG | EOG Resources, Inc. | Energy | Oil & Gas E&P | Oil & Gas Exploration & Production | 7.895e+10 | 2.14% | 9.87% | 11.57% | 39.15% | 8.28% | 0.9591 | 56.5 | 68 | Upward channel (73%), Uptrend | 72.60% | Largest E&P here, and one of the cleanest ways to own the oil-inflation regime — WTI has more than doubled YoY and the whole integrated/E&P complex is working. Premium multiple reflects low-cost Permian inventory and a shareholder-returns tilt. |
| GDDY | GoDaddy Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Infrastructure | Web Hosting & Domain Services | 1.296e+10 | 4.33% | 15.07% | 26.41% | -24.36% | 14.15% | 0.569 | 83.6 | 73 | Upward channel (66%), Uptrend | 65.90% | Domain/hosting cash machine with high retention and heavy buybacks; the biggest volatility score in the table reflects both a heavily shorted history and lumpy bookings. Position near the top of the channel means the easy entry is behind it. |
| OVV | Ovintiv Inc. (DE) | Energy | Oil & Gas E&P | Oil & Gas Exploration & Production | 1.801e+10 | 2.72% | 16.18% | 16.71% | 70.17% | 10.77% | 0.9292 | 32.6 | 80 | Upward channel (66%), Uptrend | 65.70% | Second E&P riding the same commodity tailwind with a large buyback and a clean balance sheet. Higher beta than EOG to oil dips; the channel has held through the recent commodity wobble. |
| UVE | UNIVERSAL INSURANCE HOLDINGS IN | Financials | Insurance - Property & Casualty | Property & Casualty Insurance | 1.289e+09 | 4.49% | 12.16% | 33.66% | 59.41% | 16.73% | 0.9503 | 94.2 | 80 | Upward channel (66%), Uptrend | 65.60% | Small-cap Florida-focused P&C insurer — a pure hard-market earnings story where rate increases on renewals keep flowing straight to the bottom line. Lowest P/E in the stock table; the risk is Florida hurricane cat exposure and reinsurance pricing. |
| NVDA | NVIDIA Corporation | Information Technology | Semiconductors | Enterprise AI & Automation | 5.465e+12 | 3.68% | 6.98% | 19.82% | 17.81% | 9.05% | 0.5881 | 99.9 | 46 | Upward channel (60%), Uptrend | 59.90% | The bellwether of the AI trade and the highest momentum score in the screen. Note the tape's nuance: the market is rotating away from second-derivative AI hardware toward platform owners, so mega-cap compute is now the safer leg of that theme. Position mid-channel leaves room in both directions. |
| DHR | Danaher Corporation | Health Care | Diagnostics & Research | Life Science Tools & Reagents | 1.555e+11 | 10.72% | 11.32% | 13.37% | 8.98% | 14.07% | 0.6301 | 51.5 | 83 | Upward channel (59%), Uptrend | 59.20% | Life-science tools bellwether benefiting from the biotech funding thaw — the Life Science Tools & Reagents theme is one of the strongest month-to-date groups. Diagnostics and instrument replacement demand are the catalysts; China biopharma capex is the wildcard. |
| SLAB | Silicon Laboratories, Inc. | Information Technology | Semiconductors | Semiconductor Capital Equipment | 7.397e+09 | 0.62% | 1.70% | 4.91% | 65.37% | 2.38% | 1.2274 | 80.1 | 61 | Upward channel (59%), Uptrend | 58.90% | Fabless chip maker with a big 1Y gain but a recent stall; relative volume above average signals renewed interest as channel position recovers. Tied to the broader semiconductor cycle rather than AI compute specifically. |
| A | Agilent Technologies, Inc. | Health Care | Diagnostics & Research | Life Science Tools & Reagents | 4.831e+10 | 16.78% | 26.91% | 46.31% | 23.20% | 27.96% | 0.6745 | 83 | 46 | Upward channel (59%), Uptrend | 58.70% | Instrument maker levered to the same biopharma capex recovery as Danaher. Sits furthest above its 150-day line of the large-caps here, so it is the most extended — a good candidate to wait for a pullback toward the mid-channel before adding. |
| ANET | Arista Networks, Inc. | Information Technology | Computer Hardware | Data Center & Enterprise Networking | 2.66e+11 | 5.66% | 15.51% | 38.72% | 33.27% | 23.68% | 0.5764 | 99.9 | 68 | Upward channel (58%), Uptrend | 58.00% | High-margin data-center networking franchise with best-in-class margins and a top-of-file momentum score. The read-through from hyperscaler networking demand remains the core driver, and the optics/supplier shakeout is a relative tailwind for the platform layer. |
| RBRK | Rubrik, Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Infrastructure | Cybersecurity | 2.47e+10 | 38.50% | 36.30% | 146.88% | 39.38% | 55.63% | 1.0051 | 98.9 | 45 | Upward channel (56%), Uptrend | 56.10% | Fastest 6M compounder in the screen — a cybersecurity name in a theme the tape is actively rewarding (CIBR up double digits in a month). Heavy extension from the 150-day line is the obvious risk; this is a momentum instrument, not a value entry. |
| TRI | Thomson Reuters Corp | Industrials | Specialty Business Services | Financial Data & Analytics Providers | 4.572e+10 | 7.09% | 14.38% | 22.79% | -27.62% | 12.75% | 0.5388 | 33.4 | 68 | Upward channel (55%), Uptrend, Symmetrical triangle | 54.50% | Financial-data and legal-info provider with the AI-content-licensing optionality layered on a subscription base. Deeply negative 1Y despite a solid 3M, so this is a base-building recovery profile rather than a leader — the symmetrical triangle flag says the resolution is near. |
| BOX | Box, Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Infrastructure | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 5.037e+09 | 8.77% | 22.37% | 64.25% | 11.14% | 28.71% | 0.4456 | 88.3 | 47 | Upward channel (54%), Uptrend | 54.00% | Content-cloud software with an improving margin narrative and a very high volatility score — historically a heavily shorted name where good execution produces outsized moves. Cheap-ish multiple for infrastructure software; the channel is a re-rating in progress. |
| EBF | Ennis, Inc. | Industrials | Business Equipment & Supplies | Paper & Pulp Products | 5.142e+08 | 5.30% | 6.70% | 3.03% | 34.86% | 6.22% | 1.0059 | 39.4 | 21 | Upward channel (54%), Uptrend | 54.00% | Micro-cap commercial printer throwing off cash and paying a healthy dividend; the lowest volatility score in the table. A slow, steady channel — the appeal is yield and stability rather than growth, and liquidity is a real constraint. |
| CRAI | CRA International,Inc. | Industrials | Consulting Services | Management & Strategy Consulting | 1.119e+09 | 10.14% | 8.99% | 9.62% | 0.78% | 11.70% | 0.7465 | 26.5 | 67 | Upward channel (54%), Uptrend | 53.70% | Litigation-consulting firm with a counter-cyclical demand profile — antitrust and damages work tends to grow when the macro is messy. Small-cap, low float, infrequent coverage; the channel has been orderly for months. |
| RSG | Republic Services, Inc. | Industrials | Waste Management | Waste Management Services | 6.729e+10 | -1.02% | 0.20% | 3.57% | 0.32% | 3.09% | 0.6436 | 36.8 | 66 | Upward channel (53%) | 52.60% | Waste-hauling compounder with pricing power and a defensive demand base. Notable as one of the few names here that is not in a defined uptrend — the channel flag is intact but trend confirmation has lapsed, so this one is closer to neutral than the rest. |
| DDS | Dillard's, Inc. | Consumer Discretionary | Department Stores | Home Improvement & Building Materials Retailers | 1.003e+10 | -1.23% | 21.84% | 8.29% | 12.48% | 8.34% | 0.759 | 60.5 | 60 | Upward channel (52%), Uptrend | 52.00% | Department-store operator with an exceptionally strong balance sheet and aggressive buybacks shrinking the float. Sales trends are the weak link; the chart is a recovery channel off a low base with elevated retail-sector risk. |
| ECL | Ecolab Inc. | Materials | Specialty Chemicals | Waste Management Services | 7.97e+10 | 3.21% | 5.67% | 3.86% | 5.45% | 5.39% | 0.6769 | 52.3 | 76 | Upward channel (51%), Uptrend | 51.30% | Water-treatment and hygiene chemicals with contractual, repeat-revenue characteristics — a steady, low-drama channel. Data-center cooling demand is an underappreciated incremental growth vector for the specialty chemicals complex. |
| CDW | CDW Corporation | Information Technology | Information Technology Services | IT Services & Consulting | 1.797e+10 | -6.52% | 3.64% | 10.17% | -3.36% | 9.45% | 0.631 | 78.8 | 68 | Upward channel (50%) | 50.10% | IT reseller with hardware margins levered to enterprise refresh cycles and now an AI-server attach story. Negative 1M in an otherwise constructive setup means the channel is being tested; watch for the trend flag to lapse if enterprise spend softens. |
| HOG | Harley-Davidson, Inc. | Consumer Discretionary | Recreational Vehicles | Electric Vehicle Makers | 2.848e+09 | -1.12% | 9.88% | 21.32% | 6.76% | 12.36% | 0.8171 | 61.2 | 81 | Upward channel (48%), Uptrend | 47.90% | Iconic motorcycle brand with a turnaround plan and a retail-finance arm that is rate-sensitive. Tagged under the EV theme, which has been one of the worst-performing groups — a contrarian channel that needs consumer discretionary demand to hold. |
| FRSH | Freshworks Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Application | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 3.632e+09 | 17.07% | 32.95% | 76.43% | 22.11% | 34.60% | 0.6827 | 96.5 | 68 | Upward channel (47%), Uptrend | 47.00% | SaaS customer-support vendor executing a durable re-acceleration with improving profitability — one of the strongest 6M trend profiles among software names here. Extended from the 150-day line; the setup favors nimble entries on pullbacks. |
| APH | Amphenol Corporation | Information Technology | Electronic Components | Power & Electronic Components | 2.125e+11 | 2.86% | 9.02% | 19.03% | 37.49% | 14.09% | 0.7773 | 99.6 | 75 | Upward channel (47%), Uptrend | 46.80% | Interconnect supplier and a direct AI/data-center capex beneficiary with one of the top momentum scores in the screen. The risk is precisely the tape's current message: the market is starting to discriminate against the AI-hardware supply chain in favor of software and platform owners. |
| ARHS | Arhaus, Inc. | Consumer Discretionary | Specialty Retail | Home Improvement & Building Materials Retailers | 1.345e+09 | 17.28% | 20.87% | 43.72% | -3.22% | 22.47% | 0.4987 | 63.6 | 67 | Upward channel (47%), Uptrend | 46.70% | Furniture retailer tied to housing turnover and discretionary big-ticket spend — a weak macro cohort. The channel reflects company-specific momentum rather than sector strength, and housing affordability remains the key swing risk. |
| EXEL | Exelixis, Inc. | Health Care | Biotechnology | Oncology Therapeutics | 1.482e+10 | 6.59% | 7.26% | 33.05% | 55.09% | 16.16% | 1.329 | 98.4 | 67 | Upward channel (46%), Uptrend | 46.40% | Oncology specialist with a profitable, cash-generative commercial franchise rather than a binary pipeline — rare for biotech, and relative volume above average suggests accumulation. Label expansion and a clean balance sheet are the drivers. |
| MTCH | Match Group, Inc. | Communication Services | Internet Content & Information | Dating Apps | 9.685e+09 | -1.56% | 8.83% | 26.35% | 30.73% | 12.66% | 1.1011 | 95.3 | 68 | Upward channel (46%), Uptrend | 46.00% | Dating-app owner in a structurally challenged category, but the channel reflects renewed confidence in paying-user stabilization and cost discipline. High momentum score and above-average relative volume mark it as a turnaround the tape is warming to. |
| IEX | IDEX Corporation | Industrials | Specialty Industrial Machinery | Diversified Industrials | 1.738e+10 | 5.49% | 6.19% | 16.10% | 44.73% | 9.09% | 0.7463 | 86.4 | 75 | Upward channel (45%), Uptrend | 45.20% | Diversified industrial with a very low volatility score — the profile here is a steady multi-year compounder rather than a momentum name. Order trends in specialty pumps and fluid-handling are the fundamental tell. |
| MDXG | MiMedx Group, Inc | Health Care | Biotechnology | Medical Devices & Surgical Technologies | 7.049e+08 | 5.69% | 15.00% | 23.21% | -30.20% | 18.43% | 0.5155 | 88 | 74 | Upward channel (43%), Uptrend | 43.40% | Wound-care and medical-device name with a very depressed 1Y but solid recent recovery; the extremely high multiple reflects depressed trailing earnings rather than a premium. Small-cap with binary reimbursement/payer risk. |
| ASAN | Asana, Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Application | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 2.265e+09 | 12.77% | 32.57% | 70.52% | -34.89% | 28.81% | 0.5555 | 81 | 38 | Upward channel (43%), Uptrend | 43.20% | Work-management SaaS with a strong 6M move but still deep negative over a year — a dramatic re-rating off a washed-out base. High multiple, no earnings cushion; the channel depends entirely on continued SaaS risk appetite. |
| PRLB | Proto Labs, Inc. | Industrials | Metal Fabrication | Enterprise AI & Automation | 2.191e+09 | 11.73% | 18.99% | 45.81% | 86.98% | 21.68% | 0.6187 | 84.4 | 73 | Upward channel (43%), Uptrend | 43.10% | Prototyping and digital-manufacturing platform with the standout 1Y gain in the industrials cohort — a reshoring and short-run production beneficiary. Extended but with consistent trend structure. |
| AVPT | AvePoint, Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Infrastructure | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 3.083e+09 | 15.09% | 14.91% | 62.07% | -4.46% | 24.89% | 0.5838 | 94.5 | 66 | Upward channel (42%), Uptrend | 42.00% | Microsoft-ecosystem data-governance software with a very high momentum score and a strong 6M run, yet negative over a year. A recovery channel in a space the market is currently rewarding; the multiple leaves little room for a guidance miss. |
| BXSL | Blackstone Secured Lending Fund | Financials | Asset Management | Business Development Companies (BDCs) | 5.556e+09 | 0.86% | 4.85% | 7.51% | 6.88% | 4.39% | 0.6309 | 81.9 | 67 | Upward channel (42%), Uptrend | 41.70% | Business-development company offering a floating-rate senior-loan yield play — the channel is a function of credit spreads staying calm and net interest margins holding. A very different risk profile from the equity momentum names around it. |
| TRGP | Targa Resources, Inc. | Energy | Oil & Gas Midstream | Natural Gas Midstream | 6.23e+10 | 0.10% | 3.66% | 21.98% | 84.00% | 9.40% | 0.5682 | 54.6 | 67 | Upward channel (41%), Uptrend | 41.30% | Midstream gatherer and processor with the highest volatility score here and a huge 1Y gain, riding the same natural-gas and NGL export economics that are lifting the whole energy complex. Fee-based contracts insulate cash flow, but leverage is elevated. |
| HPE | Hewlett Packard Enterprise Comp | Information Technology | Communication Equipment | Data Center & Enterprise Networking | 9.336e+10 | 13.56% | 42.27% | 185.02% | 172.75% | 61.60% | 0.9693 | 80.4 | 39 | Upward channel (39%), Uptrend | 38.70% | The standout large-cap mover: an AI-server and networking turnaround that has re-rated violently on margin expansion and the Juniper integration. Extremely extended from the 150-day line, so this is a trend-following vehicle with real mean-reversion risk. Days since earnings is short — a fresh catalyst just cleared. |
| ARW | Arrow Electronics, Inc. | Information Technology | Electronics & Computer Distribution | Electrical & Electronic Distribution | 1.149e+10 | -1.09% | 9.31% | 29.06% | 91.60% | 12.53% | 0.7464 | 74.4 | 66 | Upward channel (38%), Uptrend | 38.20% | Electronics distributor tied to the semiconductor cycle, with a big 1Y gain and a solid 3M. Distribution margins are thin, so the channel tracks component demand and inventory turns rather than any single product story. |
| PBT | Permian Basin Royalty Trust Common Stock | Energy | Oil & Gas Midstream | Oil & Gas Royalty & Land | 1.563e+09 | 0.63% | 28.07% | 63.25% | 113.06% | 27.67% | 1.3059 | — | — | Upward channel (37%), Uptrend | 37.10% | Royalty trust holding mineral interests in the Permian — a pure commodity-price pass-through with no operating costs. Highest relative volume in the table; distributions track realized oil and gas prices directly, so the channel is a levered expression of the energy regime. |
| FDS | FactSet Research Systems Inc. | Financials | Financial Data & Stock Exchanges | Financial Data & Analytics Providers | 1.027e+10 | 11.15% | 14.27% | 28.12% | 3.41% | 16.09% | 0.6811 | 82.1 | 12 | Upward channel (36%), Uptrend | 35.70% | Financial-data incumbent that just reported (very few days since earnings), so the setup is event-driven. Growth is steady but the competitive question — AI-native rivals pressuring pricing — is the key risk to the channel. |
| LQDT | Liquidity Services, Inc. | Consumer Discretionary | Internet Retail | Wholesale & Surplus Marketplace | 1.359e+09 | 2.12% | 11.46% | 33.10% | 83.54% | 15.60% | 1.0408 | 86.2 | 67 | Upward channel (35%), Uptrend | 35.00% | Surplus-and-returns marketplace with asset-light economics and a strong 1Y gain; government and commercial liquidation volumes drive results. A quiet, high-return compounder whose channel is being rewarded by improving margins. |
| YEXT | Yext, Inc. | Information Technology | Software - Infrastructure | Enterprise Cloud Applications | 6.859e+08 | 8.28% | 27.62% | 103.23% | -17.79% | 38.71% | 0.437 | 79 | 41 | Upward channel (34%), Uptrend | 34.30% | Small-cap infrastructure-software name with a very high volatility score and a volatile earnings history — the channel is a speculative re-rating rather than a fundamental one. Treat the elevated multiple and thin liquidity as the primary risks. |
| CSQ | Calamos Strategic Total Return Fund - Closed End Fund | Financials | Asset Management | Business Development Companies (BDCs) | 3.321e+09 | 0.07% | 2.54% | 15.14% | 15.11% | 5.98% | 0.7801 | — | — | Upward channel (34%), Uptrend | 33.70% | Closed-end fund rather than an operating company — the 'channel' reflects a leveraged multi-asset portfolio trading at a discount to NAV. Rate sensitivity and distribution coverage matter more than the technical setup. |
| AVT | Avnet, Inc. | Information Technology | Electronics & Computer Distribution | Electrical & Electronic Distribution | 7.989e+09 | -2.49% | 13.35% | 33.25% | 94.68% | 15.23% | 0.6389 | 87.6 | 68 | Upward channel (31%), Uptrend | 31.10% | Legacy electronics distributor with a huge 1Y gain driven by technology-cycle recovery; very high momentum score for a low-multiple business. The margin structure is thin, so the channel is a cycle call rather than a quality call. |
| CNNE | Cannae Holdings, Inc. Common Stock | Consumer Discretionary | Restaurants | Asset Management | 6.81e+08 | 2.88% | 6.62% | 26.37% | -11.39% | 12.82% | 0.8102 | 63.2 | 62 | Upward channel (31%), Uptrend | 30.80% | Holding company trading below the sum of its parts — the channel is a discount-closing story with asset sales and buybacks as the catalysts. Deeply negative 1Y, so this is a value/recovery setup, not momentum. |
| STLN | Starling Oncology, Inc. | Health Care | Medical Care Facilities | Managed Care & Health Insurance | 7.053e+08 | 12.16% | 10.19% | 109.70% | 76.98% | 39.47% | 0.6919 | — | 66 | Upward channel (30%), Uptrend | 30.10% | Micro-cap oncology-services name with an explosive 6M move and no fundamental scores available — thin coverage and high event risk. Best characterized as speculative, with the channel providing a framework rather than conviction. |

Japanese equities have been among the steadier developed markets on a 1Y basis. |
| CPAI | Counterpoint Quantitative Equity ETF | Quantitative Equity | theme | 1.09% | 2.80% | 19.75% | 36.45% | 7.77% | 1.3197 | Upward channel (24%), Uptrend | P, ALAB, TXG, KLIC, BB.TO, INTC, ON, MRVL, HPE, MU | Rules-based quant equity ETF whose top holdings skew to semis, memory and specialized hardware — a systematic momentum tilt rather than a thematic bet. Relative volume well above average suggests flows are arriving. |
| GVAL | Cambria Global Value ETF | Global Value | theme | -1.96% | 4.77% | 9.64% | 35.98% | 6.74% | 0.4373 | Upward channel (17%), Uptrend | ATS.VI, MONET.PR, MINEROS.CL, FXFXX, GRUPOSURA.CL, KOMB.PR, CEZ.PR, KGH.WA, RBI.VI, TUPRS.IS | Deep-value global equity fund heavily weighted to frontier and emerging European names; the diversification is the point, and it has quietly outpaced most developed-market peers over a year despite recent softness. |
| IBB | iShares Biotechnology ETF | Biotechnology | theme | 0.66% | 8.27% | 18.65% | 34.61% | 10.30% | 0.7277 | Upward channel (4%), Uptrend | GILD, AMGN, VRTX, REGN, MRNA, NTRA, ARGX, ILMN, RVMD, BIIB | Broad biotech exposure currently at the bottom of its channel — a rare case of a constructive structure sitting at the lower band, which is where the risk/reward is often best if the funding environment keeps improving. Large-cap weighted, so it is the lower-volatility biotech vehicle. |
| CPER | United States Copper Index Fund ETV | Copper | commodity | 3.70% | 5.42% | 10.44% | 28.29% | 6.49% | 0.4506 | Upward channel (60%), Uptrend | — | Copper is a genuine structural story — electrification and grid buildout on one side, supply discipline on the other — and the metal has materially outperformed gold and silver over a year. A commodity ETV, so no earnings cushion; it is a direct macro call. |
| TDI | Touchstone Dynamic International ETF | International Equity | theme | -1.98% | 2.97% | 5.15% | 25.50% | 2.86% | 0.3585 | Upward channel (11%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, DGCXX, ASML.AS, 005930.KQ, ISP.MI, UCG.MI, 2914.T, 000660.KQ, O39.SI, 6758.T | Actively managed international equity with Taiwan, Korea and Netherlands semiconductor leadership among its top weights — effectively a developed-Asia tech proxy with a value overlay. Very low relative volume makes it a buy-and-hold vehicle. |
| AVDV | Avantis International Small Cap Value ETF | International Small Cap Value | theme | -3.21% | 4.23% | 3.60% | 25.16% | 2.29% | 0.6029 | Upward channel (23%), Uptrend | ATS.VI, PRU.AX, BGEO.L, WTB.L, CLIS.TA, BTO.TO, BRBY.L, OGC.TO, RRL.AX, CDE | International small-cap value with a huge, well-diversified asset base; a clean way to own the non-US value rotation without single-country risk. Recent weakness reflects the dollar's strength more than fundamentals. |
| THD | iShares MSCI Thailand ETF | Thailand | country | -3.71% | -1.88% | 1.04% | 23.54% | 0.75% | 4.184 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | DELTA-R, PTT-R, ADVANC-R, AOT-R, GULF-R, CPALL-R, BDMS-R, PTTEP-R, SCC-R, KTB-R | Thailand has been one of Asia's laggards, and the very high relative volume here is a warning sign rather than a positive — heavy turnover at the bottom of a channel often signals capitulation or rebalancing flows. |
| SCJ | iShares MSCI Japan Sm Cap | Japan Small Cap | country | -0.52% | 3.74% | 6.44% | 22.11% | 5.11% | 0.3214 | Upward channel (22%), Uptrend | 6963.T, 5831.T, 7167.T, 8354.T, 6976.T, 3436.T, 5333.T, 9147.T, 5334.T, 2768.T | Japanese small caps have lagged large-cap exports, making this the more domestically-geared way to play Japan. Still in a constructive channel, but nothing like the US equity trend. |
| CORO | iShares International Country Rotation Active ETF | International Country Rotation | theme | -3.02% | 0.28% | 6.17% | 21.80% | 1.71% | 0.6044 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | EWJ, EWC, EWL, EWP, EWY, EWU, EWD, EWT, TSM, EWH | Active country-rotation mandate holding a basket of single-country ETFs — it outperformed most static international funds over the past year by rotating rather than hugging a benchmark. Structural strength, but underlying distributions can be inefficient. |
| AVGE | Avantis All Equity Markets ETF | Global All Cap | broad_market | -1.05% | 0.78% | 8.18% | 21.67% | 3.04% | 0.4812 | Upward channel (7%), Uptrend | AVUS, AVLV, AVDE, AVEM, AVIV, AVUV, AVSC, AVES, AVRE, AVMC | A fund-of-Avantis-funds global all-cap allocation — the simplest way to see the whole developed-plus-emerging value tilt in one line. Mostly an asset-allocation decision rather than a tactical one. |
| HFXI | NYLI FTSE International Equity Currency Neutral ETF | International Equity Hedged | broad_market | -2.57% | -1.37% | 4.06% | 20.82% | 0.56% | 0.7383 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, HSBA.L, ROP.SW, NOVN.SW, 8306.T, SHEL.L, BHP.AX, NESN.SW | Currency-hedged international equity, which explains why it is holding its channel while unhedged peers drift. The dollar has been firm, so hedging has been a meaningful tailwind versus the plain-vanilla versions. |
| IYH | iShares U.S. Healthcare ETF | Healthcare | sector | 4.04% | 9.00% | 17.21% | 20.60% | 9.84% | 3.1714 | Upward channel (17%), Uptrend | LLY, JNJ, ABBV, MRK, UNH, TMO, AMGN, GILD, ABT, PFE | US healthcare sector exposure sitting at the lower end of its channel while health care has quietly become the strongest defensive rotation in the market — a rare case of a laggard-positioned structure in a leading group. |
| QLTY | GMO U.S. Quality ETF | US Quality | broad_market | 3.76% | 6.03% | 14.70% | 20.45% | 8.13% | 0.8139 | Upward channel (73%), Uptrend | MSFT, GOOGL, AAPL, META, TMO, JNJ, LRCX, TXN, AVGO, AMZN | Quality-tilted US large cap that has been beating the broad index, and it sits at the top of its channel — the market is clearly paying for durable, cash-generative compounders. Also moderately priced for a quality mandate. |
| DFAX | Dimensional World ex U.S. Core Equity 2 ETF | World ex-US | country | -2.43% | 1.38% | 3.72% | 20.31% | 1.57% | 1.2038 | Upward channel (11%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, TSM, 000660.KQ, ASML, NVS, RY, TTE.PA, SHEL, 0700.HK | Broad developed ex-US core exposure with the largest asset base in the international cohort here; the weak recent tape is a dollar story, not an earnings story. Position low in the channel leaves room if the dollar softens. |
| AVNM | Avantis All International Markets Equity ETF | International All Cap | country | -3.28% | 0.95% | 3.14% | 20.04% | 1.15% | 0.5579 | Upward channel (1%), Uptrend | AVDE, AVIV, AVEM, AVES, AVDV, AVEE, AVDS | All-international-markets composite that folds developed, emerging and small-cap sleeves into a single line. A one-ticket international allocation with no country timing required. |
| SCHF | Schwab International Equity ETF | International Developed | country | -3.76% | -1.02% | 3.70% | 19.67% | 0.38% | 0.8826 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, HSBA.L, RY, SHEL.L, NOVN.SW, 8306.T, AZN.L | Insurance-company styled international developed equity — a low-cost core ex-US holding, currently at the very bottom of its channel. The dollar is the single dominant variable in the near term. |
| QLC | FlexShares US Quality Large Cap Index Fund | US Quality Large Cap | broad_market | 0.41% | 2.02% | 12.50% | 19.66% | 5.04% | 0.2915 | Upward channel (18%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL, GOOG, AVGO, AMZN, MU, JPM, JNJ | Quality large-cap index fund with a semiconductor-heavy top ten, which is why its return profile mirrors the US quality trade rather than the broad market. |
| EWN | iShares MSCI Netherlands Index Fund | Netherlands | country | -2.62% | -2.08% | 5.87% | 19.63% | 0.83% | 0.2069 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | ASML.AS, INGA.AS, NBIS, PRX.AS, ASM.AS, AD.AS, ABN.AS, ADYEN.AS, AER, NN.AS | Netherlands is essentially a semiconductor-equipment country given ASML's dominance; the fund's channel therefore tracks chip capex sentiment more than European macro. Sitting at the bottom band after a soft month. |
| DYNF | iShares U.S. Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF | US Large Cap Multi-Factor | broad_market | 1.11% | 3.68% | 14.55% | 19.53% | 6.53% | 0.7563 | Upward channel (37%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, JPM, META, XOM, AVGO, GOOGL, GOOG | Active multi-factor rotation that shifts between momentum, quality and value — the design pairs well with the current regime where dispersive single-name outcomes drive index returns. Strong recent relative performance. |
| SPDW | State Street SPDR Portfolio Developed World ex-US ETF | Developed Markets ex-US | country | -3.63% | -0.68% | 3.84% | 18.97% | 0.59% | 0.9079 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | SMSN, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, HSBA.L, ROP.SW, 8306.T, SHEL.L, RY, NOVN.SW, AZN.L | Very low-cost developed ex-US portfolio that is the institutional workhorse of international exposure; the flat structure and low relative volume reflect core-holding flows rather than tactical trading. |
| SUSL | iShares ESG MSCI USA Leaders ETF | ESG US Leaders | theme | 2.78% | 4.68% | 16.62% | 18.88% | 7.08% | 0.3012 | Upward channel (47%), Uptrend | NVDA, MSFT, GOOGL, GOOG, TSLA, AMD, LLY, JNJ, V, MA | ESG-screened US leaders that ends up looking a lot like a mega-cap growth index — the sustainability screen barely changes the return drivers here. |
| SNPE | Xtrackers S&P 500 Scored & Screened ETF | S&P 500 ESG | broad_market | 1.93% | 3.81% | 14.05% | 18.86% | 5.95% | 0.6248 | Upward channel (35%), Uptrend | NVDA, MSFT, GOOGL, GOOG, MU, LLY, V, INTC, WMT, ABBV | S&P 500 with an ESG scoring overlay; a near-index proxy whose channel is simply the S&P's trend with a slightly different factor tilt. |
| VSGX | Vanguard ESG International Stock ETF | ESG International | theme | -2.39% | 0.10% | 6.63% | 18.79% | 1.85% | 0.6942 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, ROP.SW, RY, NOVN.SW, 9988.HK, NESN.SW, 8306.T | International ESG exposure that remains heavily weighted to developed Asia tech and European industrials — the ESG constraint is doing little to change the underlying country bets. |
| DFAC | Dimensional U.S. Core Equity 2 ETF | US Core Equity | broad_market | 0.55% | 2.11% | 11.29% | 18.31% | 4.59% | 0.7274 | Upward channel (16%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, META, GOOGL, JPM, GOOG, AVGO, LLY | Dimensional's US core equity approach combines value and profitability screens with a small-cap tilt; it has tracked the market closely this year with a modest factor-driven edge. |
| SPGM | State Street SPDR Portfolio MSCI Global Stock Market ETF | Global Stock Market | broad_market | -0.03% | 2.14% | 9.89% | 18.02% | 4.02% | 0.537 | Upward channel (21%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, TSM, GOOG, META, AVGO, MU | Global all-cap exposure with a US-heavy top ten; the diversification is real but the return driver is still American mega-cap technology. |
| EEMV | iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Min Vol Factor ETF | Emerging Markets Min Vol | country | -2.86% | 1.35% | 8.87% | 17.80% | 2.54% | 1.2417 | Upward channel (8%), Uptrend | 2303.TW, 005935, 000660.KQ, 03988, 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, 2222.SR, 2308.TW, 006400.KQ, 01398 | Minimum-volatility emerging markets — Taiwan and Korea weightings give it a semiconductor skew despite the defensive branding. Elevated relative volume suggests it is being used as a tactical EM entry. |
| IXUS | iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF | International Total Market | broad_market | -2.73% | 0.01% | 4.10% | 17.44% | 1.09% | 0.4063 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, HSBA.L, 0700.HK, ROP.SW, SHEL.L, RY, NOVN.SW | Comprehensive international total-market exposure at minimal cost; essentially the passive answer to all non-US equity in one line. Currently at the bottom of the channel as the dollar presses on foreign returns. |
| QUAL | iShares MSCI USA Quality Factor ETF | US Quality Factor | other | 3.64% | 4.09% | 13.60% | 17.39% | 6.80% | 0.4527 | Upward channel (58%), Uptrend | MSFT, AAPL, NVDA, META, LRCX, LLY, TJX, AMAT, V, KLAC | Quality factor large cap sitting high in its channel — the cleanest evidence that this market rewards balance-sheet strength and stable margins over cyclical leverage. |
| SUSA | iShares ESG Optimized MSCI USA ETF | ESG | theme | 1.84% | 2.46% | 14.84% | 17.38% | 5.89% | 0.4853 | Upward channel (32%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, AVGO, MU, GOOGL, AMD, TSLA, LLY | ESG-optimized US equity whose top holdings are indistinguishable from a standard large-cap growth basket; the tilts are modest and the trend is the market's trend. |
| VXUS | Vanguard Total International Stock ETF | International Equity | broad_market | -2.93% | -0.09% | 3.76% | 17.24% | 0.87% | 0.8417 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, 0700.HK, HSBA.L, ROP.SW, RY, NOVN.SW, 9988.HK | Low-cost total international exposure; the weak recent tape tracks dollar strength and soft European equities, not any change in the underlying earnings base. |
| SPY | State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust | US Large Cap | broad_market | 2.06% | 3.75% | 13.98% | 17.18% | 6.20% | 0.4296 | Upward channel (49%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, AVGO, GOOG, META, MU, TSLA | The S&P 500 at the middle of its channel — the single cleanest read on the US regime and the benchmark every stock above is being measured against. Steady, unspectacular accumulation. |
| ACWI | iShares MSCI ACWI ETF | Global Equity | broad_market | 0.24% | 2.35% | 10.43% | 17.04% | 4.38% | 0.518 | Upward channel (26%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, 2330.TW, META, GOOG, AVGO, MU | Global equity including emerging markets; a slight international tilt versus the US-only indices, though the top ten still reads like a US mega-cap list. |
| TRTY | Cambria Trinity ETF | Global Tactical Allocation | other | -1.10% | 3.73% | 4.33% | 16.95% | 3.10% | 0.0905 | Upward channel (52%), Uptrend | GVAL, FYLD, EYLD, VAMO, MFUT, VGIT, TYLD, CERY, MYLD, BLDG | Multi-asset tactical allocation fund holding a mix of ETFs across value, credit and managed futures — the low relative volume reflects a niche, research-driven shareholder base. A diversifier rather than an equity substitute. |
| VT | Vanguard Total World Stock Index ETF | Total World Stock | broad_market | -0.02% | 2.00% | 9.62% | 16.87% | 3.94% | 0.4722 | Upward channel (23%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, 2330.TW, AVGO, GOOG, META, MU | Total world stock in a single holding and the broadest global benchmark here; the channel mirrors the global risk appetite rather than any idiosyncratic driver. |
| VTI | Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF | Total US Market | broad_market | 1.65% | 3.06% | 13.28% | 16.71% | 5.66% | 0.6429 | Upward channel (38%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, AVGO, GOOG, META, MU, TSLA | The whole US market in one line — the widest domestic exposure on the list. Useful as the baseline against which the concentration in the top ten holdings should be judged. |
| VTHR | Vanguard Russell 3000 ETF | US Broad Market | broad_market | 1.65% | 3.11% | 13.36% | 16.66% | 5.70% | 0.5871 | Upward channel (38%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, AVGO, GOOG, META, MU, TSLA | Russell 3000 exposure, effectively interchangeable with the total-market funds here; the choice between them is about indexing convention rather than investment outcome. |
| IDMO | Invesco S&P International Developed Momentum ETF | International Developed Momentum | theme | -4.01% | 0.80% | 2.44% | 16.63% | 1.22% | 1.2897 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | ASML.AS, RY, HSBA.L, TD, 8306.T, 285A.T, NOVN.SW, D05.SI, BHP.AX, SAN.MC | International momentum, which has been a losing combination this year as US leadership persists and the dollar stays firm — hence the weakest 1M reading among the country funds. Momentum abroad has not paid. |
| FNDC | Schwab Fundamental International Small Equity ETF | International Small Cap | broad_market | -3.11% | 1.66% | 1.56% | 16.44% | 0.70% | 0.5036 | Upward channel (12%), Uptrend | 4062.T, GFL, EZJ.L, 375500.KQ, 028050.KQ, 047040.KQ, 032830.KQ, HBAN.SW, 006360.KQ | Fundamental-weighted international small caps — the interest here is the small-cap value premium outside the US, which has lagged badly when measured in dollars. |
| LRGF | iShares U.S. Equity Factor ETF | US Multi-Factor | broad_market | 2.15% | 4.60% | 15.28% | 16.39% | 7.10% | 1.1269 | Upward channel (40%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, AMZN, AVGO, META, MU, JPM, V | US multi-factor equity across value, quality, size and momentum sleeves; relative volume above average suggests renewed interest in factor diversification over pure mega-cap beta. |
| ACWX | iShares MSCI ACWI ex U.S. ETF | Global ex US | broad_market | -2.72% | -0.42% | 5.17% | 16.32% | 1.34% | 0.3421 | Upward channel (0%), Uptrend | 2330.TW, 005930.KQ, 000660.KQ, ASML.AS, 0700.HK, HSBA.L, ROP.SW, SHEL.L, RY, NOVN.SW | ACWI ex-US — the developed-and-emerging world without America. Sitting at the bottom of its channel because the US has continued to outperform every other region. |
| URTH | iShares MSCI World ETF | Global Developed Markets | broad_market | 0.60% | 2.43% | 10.70% | 16.07% | 4.62% | 5.5963 | Upward channel (24%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, GOOG, META, AVGO, MU, TSLA | Developed-markets global equity with the highest relative volume among the broad funds in this screen — notable flow activity. Top ten is still US mega-cap dominated. |
| CRBN | iShares Low Carbon Optimized MSCI ACWI ETF | Low Carbon | theme | 0.16% | 2.16% | 10.23% | 15.53% | 4.17% | 0.3562 | Upward channel (21%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, 2330.TW, META, AVGO, GOOG, MU | Low-carbon screened global equity; the exclusion of fossil fuels has been a drag relative to the broad index, but the trend structure remains intact. |
| FQAL | Fidelity Quality Factor ETF | Quality Factor | theme | 1.97% | 3.95% | 12.81% | 15.34% | 6.11% | 1.2984 | Upward channel (35%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL, AVGO, MU, META, JPM, LLY | Quality factor with a semiconductor-and-software-heavy top ten; a lower-cost way to express the quality-over-cyclicals theme that is working this month. |
| LCTU | iShares U.S. Carbon Transition Readiness Aware Active ETF | Carbon Transition | theme | 1.59% | 3.08% | 13.50% | 15.14% | 5.84% | 0.3768 | Upward channel (35%), Uptrend | NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, META, AVGO, GOOG, AMD, MU | Active carbon-transition mandate that is really a US large-cap growth portfolio with an energy exclusion overlay — the environmental screen does most of the factor work. |
Overview
Reading the Upward Channel Screen
Price-channel structure. A rising (upward) channel is drawn when a stock or fund makes higher highs and higher lows inside two parallel upward-sloping lines. It is a trend-continuation pattern: as long as price respects the lower rail, the path of least resistance is up. Channel Position answers the question that matters most — where is price sitting in the band? A reading near 100 means price is hugging the upper line (strong, but stretched and vulnerable to a snap-back); a reading near 0 means price is testing the lower rail (either an attractive entry inside an intact uptrend, or the start of a breakdown).
Stocks (Table 1). Ranked by channel position, the list runs the full spectrum — from names pinned to the upper rail like ODD, SIG and DSGX, down to names consolidating at the lower band such as STLN, CNNE and AVT. The composition tells a story about this tape: energy/commodity names (EOG, OVV, TRGP, PBT) are in the screen precisely because oil and gas have been the year's standout inflation trade, while a large cluster of software and IT services names (GDDY, RBRK, BOX, FRSH, ASAN, AVPT) reflects the market's current preference for monetizable software over AI-hardware suppliers. Health care leans in as well — diagnostics and life-science tools (DHR, A) are riding a genuine funding thaw.
ETFs (Table 2). Ranked by 1-year return, the list splits cleanly into three cohorts: (1) currency-hedged and Japan-linked funds (DXJ, SCJ) that benefit from a firm dollar; (2) US quality and core equity (QLTY, QUAL, FQAL, LRGF, DYNF) that are simply tracking a market rewarding balance-sheet strength; and (3) broad international (VXUS, IXUS, DFAX, SPDW) still sitting at the bottom of their channels because US leadership refuses to crack. Copper (CPER) and biotech (IBB) are the two most interesting non-equity-correlated structures.
How to use it. Treat high channel positions as trend-confirmation, not entry signals — those names need a pullback toward the mid-band or a volume-backed breakout to reset risk. Treat low channel positions inside an otherwise intact uptrend as the higher-conviction risk/reward, provided the lower rail holds on a closing basis.
